The Shaved Ice Factory

By  |

Just in time for the December celebrations, Bahrain is now home to a new dessert parlour, The Shaved Ice Factory, the first of its kind in the Kingdom. Habibti Magazine was invited to the soft opening, and we had an extremely sweet time.

Mohamed Faisal, is the man behind bringing the concept of shaved ice to our beloved Island and we at Habibti are ecstatic.

Upon entering the venue, there is a very chic ambience to the place, cleverly making the most of the space; tell tale signs that a very creative designer team were part of the design process.

All the tables and chairs incorporate LED lighting along with rubber under-lit flooring that has moving liquid gel as you step along it.

The walls are decorated with beautifully designed witty quotes and seating consist of indoor and outdoor, with a seating capacity of 30.

The shaved ice is created by a specialised machine that chisels at blocks of frozen ice to create a light fluffy mound of ice, which is then topped with your preferred flavoured syrup and completed with a choice of additional sweet toppings, such as popping candy and jelly babies.

With Shaved Ice being the focal point of the menu, there is however, ample more for you to enjoy. Crepes, waffles, poffers (yes poffers), pancakes, chocolate fondues, as well as mocktails, smoothies, milkshakes, fresh juices, coffees and ice tea are part of the dessert parlour menu.

All desserts are freshly made with generously sized portions. The menu is a perfect balance for all ages, there’s something sweet for all everyone. The variety and choice offered is exceptional, ensuring that you can visit over and over again, and each time, savour a different dessert.

The Shaved Factory is located at Jurdab, with ample parking at the front.
